We are currently hiring for the following positions:

  1. Granville Island Attendant - The Bicycle Valet Staff (part-time)

    • Rate of Pay: $14/h

    • Tasks and Responsibilities:

      • Operate our seasonal valet on Granville Island between the dates of June 1st - Sept 2nd

      • Promote and administer free bicycle registrations to valet patrons through Project 529

      • Educate public on sustainable transportation and environmental impacts

      • Maintain inventory and ensure supplies are kept stocked and updated on a regular basis, reporting to coordinator when restocking is necessary

      • Collect data for evaluation purposes, including number of bikes parked each day

      • Ensure professional look and branding of The Bicycle Valet at all times

      • Provide suggestions for improvement of service to The Bicycle Valet Coordinator and project partners

      Skills and Experience:

      • Willing to do a basic level of physical work (setting up lightweight equipment and parking bicycles) and other event-related tasks as required

      • Familiar with and interested in sustainable transportation

      • Strong customer service, problem-solving, multitasking, organizational, and communication skills

      • Conscientiousness and attention to detail

      • Able to work effectively independently and as a part of a team

      • Able to adapt quickly to new information and changes

  2. The Bicycle Valet Staff (casual)

    • Rate of Pay: $14/hr ($16/hr for driving shifts)

    • Qualifications:

      • Are willing to do a basic level of physical work (setting up lightweight equipment and parking bicycles)

      • Are excited about sustainable transportation and serving patrons

      • Are looking for a casual or part-time position

      • Share our values as an organization

      • If you are looking to work driving shifts, you must also have a valid Class 5 or 7 driver's license and be comfortable and able to drive a larger vehicle on your own
