Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the setup and takedown of lightweight equipment and bicycle parking facilities.

  • Warmly greet cyclists and assist in securely parking their bicycles.

  • Provide information and address questions regarding the Bicycle Valet service.

  • Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure the delivery of exceptional service.

  • Embody the organization's values and exhibit a strong commitment to sustainable transportation practices.

  • Contribute to the City's broader initiatives as required, such as actively participating in projects.

  • Assist with the registration of bikes on Project 529 and support City-sponsored active transportation contests over the past year.

Qualifications:

  • Willingness to engage in basic physical tasks, including setting up lightweight equipment and parking bicycles, along with other event-related duties as needed.

Bicycle Valet Driver / On-site Coordinator (Vancouver)

Job Title: Driver / On-site Coordinator

Compensation: $21.00/hr

Job Summary:

As a Driver / On-site Coordinator, you will be responsible for driving the van with the Bicycle Valet equipment to the site. Upon arrival, you will lead the team in setting up the space according to the bike capacity and event specifications. You will then stay on-site greeting cyclists and parking their bikes. You provide a friendly face to patrons and answer any questions they have about our service - bikes are always free, so get ready for the happiest customers in the biz. As the main contact on-site, you will be the go-to person for all things Bicycle Valet. As the leader of the on-site team, you will coordinate directly with the Bicycle Valet Manager to report parked bike numbers from each event and other relevant details. This role is in-person, with the possibility of additional virtual hours, if desired.

Qualifications:

  • Willing to do a basic level of physical work (setting up lightweight equipment and parking bicycles) and other event-related tasks as required

  • Excited about sustainable transportation and serving patrons

  • Looking for a casual or part-time position

  • Have work experience in customer service or in team-oriented environments

  • Have a valid Class 5 or 7 driver's license and are comfortable and able to drive a larger vehicle on your own
