Terms and Conditions of Use:

  1. The Bike Valet™ service is provided free of charge to patrons.

  2. Patrons must treat Bike Valet™ staff and other patrons with respect and courtesy at all times. Aggressive, abusive, or disruptive behaviour will not be tolerated, and we reserve the right to refuse service.

  3. Patrons must receive a claim stub/ticket upon check-in for parking their bikes or other micro-mobility devices. This stub serves as proof of ownership and must be presented at the respective Bike Valet™ site to The Bike Valet™’s authorized staff to retrieve parked items.

  4. Patrons must keep the ticket with them at all times from check-in until check-out. It is the patron's responsibility to ensure the safekeeping of the ticket, as The Bike Valet™ is not liable for any ticket loss. The Bike Valet™’s staff will only return the bike to the individual presenting the corresponding ticket stub.

  5. In addition to bikes, The Bike Valet™ accepts other micro-mobility devices such as skateboards, unicycles, rollerblades, and strollers.

  6. Patrons are not required to lock their bikes while parked at any of the attended Bike Valet™ sites. The Bike Valet’s staff will monitor and ensure the security of parked items.

  7. Patrons agree to provide necessary personal information such as names and phone numbers for security purposes. This data will be stored internally within The Bike Valet™’s database and is accessible only to authorized staff for bike retrieval verification and security purposes.

  8. While patrons can leave locks, helmets, and bags attached to their bikes, no valuable items should be left attached. The Bike Valet™ is not liable for any damage or loss to any accessories attached to the bikes.

  9. Patrons are not allowed to store or park bikes or devices containing hazardous, flammable, or illegal materials.

  10. Bikes must be retrieved within The Bike Valet™’s operating hours at the event where patrons use The Bike Valet™ service. Any bikes left beyond operating hours are at the owner's risk. While The Bike Valet™ will endeavour to store them safely, safe storage for the unclaimed bikes will not be guaranteed. The Bike Valet™ is not liable for any damages, loss, or incidents occurring after operating hours.

  11. Patrons who leave their bikes after operating hours must contact The Bike Valet™’s representative immediately via email at bikevalet@best.bc.ca within 24 hours from the respective Bike Valet™ site’s closing time. Patrons should include their claim stub/ticket number and photo, name, phone number, The Bike Valet™’s location where they use the service, time of parking, and the unclaimed bike description along with the photo.

  12. While The Bike Valet™ maintains limited insurance coverage, it is the patron's responsibility to have full personal bike insurance to mitigate risks of damage or loss.

  13. Patrons agree to indemnify and hold harmless The Bike Valet™ and its staff from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from their use of the service that fall outside the coverage provided by The Bike Valet™’s insurance.

  14. The Bike Valet™ reserves the right to modify the terms and conditions and will notify patrons of any changes.

The Bike Valet™’s Liabilities:
